Joseph Bañuelos

Joseph Bañuelos brings 38 years of experience in the visual communications business to his current position as Associate Creative Director at LehmanMillet. Starting out in 1969 in Los Angeles, he quickly earned a position as designer at Huerta Design Associates. In 1974 he opened Bañuelos Design in Orange County, where his design and illustration skills were put to use by local agencies and businesses. During those years he was active in several organizations, most notably ADDOC, Orange County Art Directors and Designers of O.C., and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles. With help from its members, ADDOC eventually became AIGA in Orange County. In 1989 Joseph started Left Coast Design, where he acted as Creative Director, partnered with Manual Reyes. In 1997 Joseph joined his client Point B as Art Director. He continued to grow with the company until 2005, when they became LehamnMillet. His work has been featured in CA Magazine, New York Art Director's Club Annuals and most recently in Print Magazine.

Joseph is also a Southern California fine artist working in Santa Ana. His art has been featured in shows at 2nd City Council Gallery, Long Beach, Viento y Agua Gallery, Long Beach, The FolkTree Gallery, Pasadena, The Bradford Gallery, Newport Beach and Amorviejo Art Gallery, Santa Ana, which he owns with his artist wife, Chela. Together with Chela, he created Sidewalk Angel Project, an awareness program aimed at helping the homeless in his community.
