Chapman's Commitment to Interfaith DialogueWe believe that a person can be deeply committed to and passionate about his or her faith, and yet respect and even hope to learn from those who believe differently. Religious pluralism does not proclaim that all religions are the same. They are not. Each religion understands God and the spiritual life differently than do the others. In a world plagued by division, hatred, and violence—much of it stemming from religious intolerance—religious pluralism is a critical element in the quest for peace and the search for truth. Therefore, Chapman University is committed to active participation in interfaith dialogue and cooperation for the common good. |
