What can I expect from my internship faculty advisor?
Participating internship faculty advisors are responsible for:
assisting, as best as possible, with finding or identifying a suitable internship position. The Career Development Center is also be a resource for finding internship sites
meetings with the student and internship employer
assisting in completing the Internship Learning Agreement Form, defining learning objectives, and assigning academic work
verifying student enrollment and evaluating student’s performance, reviewing employer evaluations, and assigning credit
It is recommended that oral reports are always part of the final student/internship faculty advisor meeting. However, oral reports do not constitute the sole form of academic evaluation. Internship faculty advisors should also assign daily logs, written papers, or final projects as part of the academic component.
