Summer Housing Information

Information regarding summer housing and the Summer Housing Interest Form will be released later in the spring semester. When filling out the summer housing interest form, students are able to declare their preferences, however, preferences and placement in summer housing will not be guaranteed. 

Chapman students do not need to be enrolled in summer courses to live in summer housing. However, it is required that students have been fully enrolled in the spring 2023 semester or be fully enrolled in the fall 2023 semester.

 Summer Housing Process


  1. Students will apply for summer housing through our Ssummer Housing Interest Form. The form will be released later in the spring semester.
  2. The Office of Residence Life and First Year Experience will review the application and applicants will be placed into a summer assignment, space permitting. 
  3. A formal confirmation will be sent to students via their Chapman student email regarding their summer housing assignment and roommates (if applicable) 
  4. Students will transition to their summer assignments according to the instructions they receive via email.
  5. As soon as the assignment is ready, students will be notified via email, and they will have 24 hours to transition to the new summer space.
