- Transfer students are exempt from the two-year requirement to live in campus housing.
- Every effort is made to place transfer students who apply for Chapman housing.
- Transfer students will be placed within a transfer community or with current students in returning student buildings.
- Transfer students are strongly encouraged to apply for Chapman housing before the priority application deadline.
- Transfer students interested in off-campus options can visit the Off-campus Housing website.
Transfer Application Process
- Incoming transfer students looking to live in campus housing should submit a $500 Housing Reservation Payment and Housing Application by the June 1 priority deadline.
- The Housing Reservation Payment can be made in your Application Status Page.
- You can submit your application via the Chapman Housing Portal. You will need to log into the housing portal with your Chapman email address and password.
- If you are having any issues with your Chapman password, you can reset it at password.chapman.edu.
- Housing notifications will be sent to your Chapman email in July. The message provides your housing assignment, roommate(s), contact information and other details to help you move into your residential community.
- If you are bringing a car to campus, you must register it for a free parking permit.

- June 1: Housing Reservation Payment and Housing Application priority deadline.
