<p>Dr. Babst is Associate Professor of Political Science, and first joined the faculty at Chapman University in 1999.; he was the Faculty Senate President 2016-2017.</p>
<p>He received his Ph.D. from the Claremont Graduate School.  His major area of emphasis is political philosophy, and his research and teaching interests include religion and politics, theory and globalization, and issues of diversity and tolerance in the liberal-democratic political regime.</p>
<p>Dr. Babst is currently working on a manuscript under contract with SPRINGER on Kantian international political theory to be published in the SPRINGER series: Studies in Global Justice, series editor Deen Chatterjee.
