Director/screenwriter David Ward brings a distinguished filmography to leading the screenwriting program in the Dodge College. In addition to directing such films as Major League and Cannery Row, he won an Academy Award for his screenplay for The Sting and was nominated for Sleepless in Seattle. David continues as an active director, with two features currently in production. He was previously our Marion Knott Filmmaker-in-Residence. He has an M.F.A. in Motion Pictures from U.C.L.A. and studied political science at Pomona College, where he is a member of the board of trustees.
