Study the design, development, testing, and implementation of economic institutions.

Take Your Education Higher

Master of Science in Behavioral and Computational Economics at Chapman University

The Master of Science in Behavioral and Computational Economics (MSBCE) pushes students to use laboratory experiments, computer simulations and mathematical analysis to study economic institutions and how they operate.

The program curriculum takes a unique hands-on approach. Students spend some time with the traditional study of economic systems, but the majority of their work is on personal projects and experiments.

Designed for students with a strong mathematical or computational background, this degree prepares students to design, develop, test and implement efficient systems for stock trading, online auctions, scheduling priority, health insurance, water and electricity pricing, and more.

The Economic Science Institute (ESI) offers selected students a number of full and partial tuition scholarships and paid research assistant positions.

We invite the inciters of change and disrupters of the ordinary to start their journey to mastery at Chapman.

As a graduate student at Chapman University, you will have the opportunity to truly master your passion. Whether you're an inspired artist, curious scientist, or a budding innovator, you will have access to industry tools, knowledgeable faculty, in-depth research opportunities, and a career and alumni network to support you throughout your life.
