» Internships

For Fowler engineering students, an internship can help bring everything into focus. Students experience first-hand how a company produces the next innovation, how a national lab fundamentally changes the direction of a field or how a non-profit uses technology to impact an underserved population.

Our Career and Professional Development Office works together with Fowler staff and faculty to guide students towards opportunities that are directly aligned with their coursework and personal goals.

Internships often result in full-time employment following graduation and our alumni know to “Think Chapman First” when they have open opportunities. If you are interested in having Chapman students as part of your company or organization, please see the internship guide for employers, linked below.

Here to Engineer Your Future.

Our computer science, software engineering, data analytics, and computer information systems students have interned with more than 100 different companies, including Boeing, Google, Ingram Micro, Sony, Spireon, Top Shelf Gaming, NBCUniversal, Experian Consumer Services, and Disney.

Meet Haley Anderson, '20, Microsoft Intern

“This summer I was able to take on my dream internship as a software engineer at Microsoft. It really put my time at school into perspective as I was able to reflect on what I’ve experienced at school and how this affected my performance in my work, as well as how I got to this position. Getting my dream internship at Microsoft wouldn’t have been possible without the hands-on help and guidance I’ve received from my professors at Chapman.”
