Abigail Tan is a senior pursuing her BS in computer science with a game development minor. She is a first generation college student from Oxnard, CA. She currently interns for NBCUniversal and spent this past summer interning for Princess Cruises and working in Dr. Louanne Boyd’s VR Sensory Lab. Abigail also has held multiple leadership roles on campus such as serving on the Schmid Student Leadership Council, being the past president of Chapman Rotaract and Chapman’s Filipino Club, and is currently the Vice President of the Student Government Association. She is so excited to serve on the Fowler Engineering Student Leadership Council to continue contributing to the Chapman community.

Alex is a senior at Chapman and was born in Southern California before moving to Athens, Greece, where he attended the American Community School until middle school. Alex is pursuing a Certificate in Applied Statistical Analysis and a minor in Entrepreneurship and was recruited by Chapman to run on the track team as a sprinter. He is involved with the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Sustain Chapman club on campus. Outside of school, Alex is passionate about his family, traveling, basketball — mainly the Milwaukee Bucks, the outdoors and sustainability. He’s started a small entrepreneurial venture called Omega Custom Shop, a surf and skate brand that allowed him to experiment with business concepts he learned in the classroom. He also volunteers as a staff member at a church camp every summer.

Arshia Sharma

Arshia was a leader for two years at her high school’s robotics team, worked the past summer at SCU’s Robotics Systems Lab with underwater ROVs, taught elementary and middle school students robotics and mathematics, works as an IT consultant here in Orange, and is VP of Marketing of Chapman’s User Experience Society. She is very passionate about robotics and hopes to have a career in artificial intelligence or machine learning.

 

Brandon Fabré

Brandon Fabre is 20 years old and originally from Las Vegas, NV. He is a third year Data Analytics student and will be applying to the 4+1 Computational and Data Sciences M.S. program. Brandon is a computers teacher for students ages 5–14 at Far Horizons Montessori School, leads an on-campus organization that exposes local at-risk youth to the sciences through first-hand experiences and develops software in his free time. His goal in life is to open a business in software development focused on business or educational software.

Kaitlyn is involved in Dr. Erik Linstead’s MLAT Lab, Schmid Student Leadership Council, and is vice president of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society. She is also a data science intern at CHOC’s Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute, and volunteers weekly at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Orange as a Health Scholar. Her career goal is to pursue an MD/PhD and become a pediatric neurologist.
