» Advising

Chapman University offers a range of academic advising services to support your academic planning, registration and special interests and needs.

We offer a Pre-Med and Pre-Health Advising Program for students interested in the medical, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, podiatry, veterinary, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing fields.

In addition, the university’s Transfer Admission Guarantee with Saddleback College helps guide students interested in our Health Sciences major.

Academic Advising Tips:

  • You should meet regularly with your advisors and always consult an advisor prior to registering for courses.

  • Students have both a program advisor in the program of their major and an advisor in the Academic Advising Center.

  • Students can look on my.chapman.edu to see which faculty member he or she has been assigned to for major-related advising (program advisor).

What is the Academic Advising Center?

The Academic Advising Center at Chapman University is responsible for:

  • advising all undeclared students;

  • providing professional development opportunities for faculty advisors;

  • serving as a resource for advising information and a referral center for all Chapman students needing current information about general education, degree requirements, and academic policies.

Please refer to the Advising Portal website for additional information.
