Flyer for 2018 Choral Music CampUnder the direction of Keith Hancock, 2017 winner of the GRAMMY® Music Educator of the Year, Chapman University’s week-long Choral Music Camp features mixed choir, women’s choir and men’s choir as well as small ensembles in which students explore making music with new friends. Open to all students entering grades 9-12, our camp faculty and instructors are committed to providing students with an exciting, positive and rewarding musical experience. We hope you will join us for a week of singing, learning and fun!

Campers have two (2) options: Commuter OR Overnight

Commuter Camper Registration

  • Early Bird February 15 to April 1, 2018: $340
  • April 2 to June 1, 2018: $415
  • Includes:
    • Week-long day camp
    • Choral music packet
    • Camp t-shirt

Overnight Camper Registration

  • Early Bird – February 15 to April 1, 2018: $700
  • April 2 to May 26, 2018: $775
  • Non-refundable deposit due on or before May 26, 2018: $400
  • Final amount due on June 1, 2018: $375
  • Includes:
    • Room and board (double occupancy plus breakfast, lunch and dinner)
    • Week-long day camp
    • Choral music packet
    • Camp t-shirt

+ - Daily Schedule (subject to change)

Regular camp instruction begins 9 a.m., Monday morning (June 18).

Overnight Campers check into dorms on Sunday evening (June 17).

Below is a sample daily schedule (9 a.m.-9 p.m.). A finalized scheduled will be e-mailed to all participants:

+ - Accommodations

Overnight Campers stay in an on-campus Chapman University dormitory (girls-only/boys-only), and adult chaperones are provided. Rooms are based on double occupancy with a private bathroom.

  • Check-In: Sunday, June 17
  • Check-Out: Saturday, June 23 

+ - Camp Scholarships & Refund Policy

Last year, Chapman’s Choral Music Camp awarded over $10,000 in scholarships and financial assistance!


A limited number of partial scholarships are available and awarded on a case-by case basis. Scholarships may only be applied toward camp tuition and do not apply to room and board costs.

Application forms are available upon request.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

In the event you must cancel your registration, refunds are defined below:

  • Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing.
  • Request for cancellation due to illness, accident, or death in the family requires documentation. Upon receipt of documentation, a full refund will be issued. Verification must be received no later than three (3) days after the scheduled start date.
    • Please allow 4-6 weeks to receive your refund.
    • Students who withdraw during the Choral Music Camp will not receive a refund.

Overnight: If you cancel for any reason prior to June 1, 2018, you will receive a full refund less the non-refundable deposit.

Commuters: If you cancel for any reason prior to June 17, 2018, you will receive a full refund less a $50 cancellation fee.

Note: Cancellation requests received after Choral Music Camp starts (June 18, 2018 or later) will forfeit full tuition.
