Katie Silberman, MLIS
Oliphant Hall 101
Katie Silberman attended UC Berkeley, where she majored in political science and German. She then completed her Masters of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University. Following school, Katie took a break from the working world to raise her three children. Several years ago she went back to work part time as a school librarian in Tustin, and later worked as a public librarian for the City of Anaheim. A highlight of her library career was speaking at the California Library Association, where she presented her children’s programs “Stories and Music” and “Stories and Science”. Katie is thrilled to be a part of the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music team at Chapman.
On the weekends Katie can often be found cheering on her children at the baseball field, track or dance theater. She also enjoys reading, sewing, water skiing and traveling.
