» Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration program provides students with a liberal arts education paired with strong professional training in business. This undergraduate degree’s course of study equips students to solve business problems through the application of the basic tools in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, technology and quantitative methods.

Students earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration learn to communicate in a clear and effective manner, both orally and in writing, and gain awareness of global business challenges and contemporary ethical issues confronting the business sector. Graduates also possess an awareness of the operation of the institutions of the American economy and how these institutions compare and interact with those of other countries.

A B.S. in Business Administration degree program also offers students the opportunity to gain an emphasis in a particular area of study. Emphases are offered in:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Finance  
  • International Business
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Real Estate

In addition, many B.S. in Business Administration students gain experience through professional internships while attending college.

For students pursuing a major outside of the Argyros School of Business and Economics, a minor in Business Administration is available.

Business Administration

The minor in Business Administration program provides undergraduate students in any non-business major a significant introduction to business and management. Students will gain an understanding of business theory, practices, and applications with specific coursework in economics, accounting, quantitative methods, ethics, marketing, management and finance.

Students who graduate with the Minor in Business Administration can apply their knowledge to find professional opportunities in almost any type of organization, from large corporations to small businesses including in government and non-profits. Major industries in the region include financial services, entertainment, action sportswear and apparel, medical device manufacturers, electronics manufacturers and distributors, hospitality and tourism and many others.
