Joseph A Lewis

Mr. Joseph Lewis, a proud 2014 Executive MBA graduate of the Argyros School of Business and Economics, has the distinct pleasure of being named the President of the Chapman MBA Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. Joe also serves as a Board Liaison to the Chapman Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. Joe’s initial interest in joining the Board of Directors (MBA Alumni Association) in order to represent his vision and ideas. As President, his goal is to implement and execute his vision to expand the alumni’s local, national, and global footprint. Joe is determined to develop a sustainable connected culture for current and future alumni.
Recently, Joe Lewis left the finance industry to pursue his passion for sartorial clothing with designer Mark Pomerantz and The House of Mark Pomerantz as Director of Business Development. The House of Mark Pomerantz is a Men’s Luxury Suit brand, headquartered in Newport Beach, CA; including a sales office in NYC with suits handmade in Italy. Joe decided to leave the finance industry to pursue his quest to integrate his intrinsic passion for sartorial clothing and business development to advance the company’s growth. Prior to joining The House of Mark Pomerantz, Joe worked with Morgan Stanley and HighTower Advisors. Joe holds a Series 7, Series 66 securities license, life insurance, and NMLS license; all which contributed to his understanding of the financial markets.
In addition to Joe’s commitment to Chapman, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, Chair for NAVIGATE – Modern Professionals (young professionals program), Membership Council, and awarded in 2016 “Ambassador of the Year” and “Silver Anchor Award.” He also volunteers as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and serves on Barclay Theatre’s Ensemble Council.

Ray Schnell

Director of Communications
Ray Schnell is Director of Communications for the MBA Alumni Board, and graduated in 2014, Beta Gamma Sigma, with his Executive MBA from Chapman University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester. In this role, Ray is responsible for managing the MBA Alumni Association’s (MBAAA) internal and external messaging, supervising public relations, creating communication strategies, and serving as a key spokesperson for the MBAAA.
Ray currently works at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) in their private equity practice. He partners with the largest global private equity firms and their operations’ teams to drive value across their investment portfolio by reducing cost, risk and inefficiency within their Human Capital Management (HCM) infrastructure. Ray supports PE firms through upfront M&A due diligence and rapid deployment of workforce management infrastructure upon close of acquisition. He also assists firms in delivering positive business outcomes that align with their financial objectives throughout the investment life cycle.
Prior to ADP, Ray was a founding partner of CreativeHeads.net, one of the leading online job board networks for the animation, visual effects and video game industries. He led all business development, sales and marketing efforts at the company. Ray also worked as an advertising executive in New York City with Foote, Cone and Belding and Deutsch, Inc. managing accounts such as Mitsubishi Motors, Verizon and Domino’s Pizza.

Daniel Sirvent

Daniel E. Sirvent has years of experience in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, asset divestitures and corporate finance transactions totaling over $2.5 Billion in closed transaction value. He specializes in working with companies in highly complex, heavily regulated industries where his background in policy analysis and management enables him to provide specific expertise to companies in the aerospace & defense, life sciences and natural resource sectors.
He was a Director of Investment Banking at ROTH Capital Partners where he was responsible for the development of the firm’s Oilfield Services &Technology investment banking practice, including cultivating client relationships with issuers and private equity sponsors, engagement management and transaction execution.
Sirvent’s background also includes experience as a Director of Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning at an upper middle-market healthcare services company where he was responsible for the company’s financial partner relationships on a broad range of financing transactions. In addition, he was a key member of the executive management team on matters relating to strategic growth initiatives and long-range planning.
In 2009, Daniel joined C. K. Cooper & Company as the Founder of the firm’s Aerospace, Defense & Government Markets (AD&G) industry practice group where he worked with leading U.S. and International AD&G companies. He was a member of the firm’s Fairness Opinion Committee and developed the firm’s advisory capabilities in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning and private equity advisory.
Sirvent began his finance career with Salomon Smith Barney in New York, and later joined Citigroup Global Markets spending 3 years in their Global Wealth Management division. Mr. Sirvent is a graduate of Cornell University, and holds an MBA in Finance from Chapman University. He is a member of numerous industry and professional organizations throughout the U.S. He and his wife reside in Costa Mesa, CA where they devote their efforts to raising their 4 children and volunteering to support various community organizations.

Robert Hanger

Robert Hanger is Managing Director of Masthead Capital, a strategic advisory firm to lower middle market businesses, private equity firms and investment banks. He provides strategic planning, financial consulting, business exit strategies, merger and acquisition transaction advisory, and capitalization solutions. He has extensive experience working with businesses and investors to obtain the customized solutions to meet their needs. Throughout his career, Mr. Hanger has worked with more than 50+ businesses and their owners through various strategies and driven the deployment of more than $500 million in capital solutions.
Prior to starting Masthead Capital, he was Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Division at Opus Bank where he provided comprehensive financing solutions. He focused on providing capital for buyout/acquisitions, expansion of successful businesses and overcapitalization for both strategic and private equity backed businesses. Before Opus Bank he was Managing Director with Linked Consulting Group, LCG Argyros partnering with Chapman University helping lower middle market businesses through the great recession as a valued financial advisor. He also held positions at California Bank & Trust and Northern Trust. Prior to his banking career he was a Tax Accountant at a local CPA firm in Southern California.
Mr. Hanger is currently an active Board Member for the Association for Corporate Growth and serves as their Vice President and Events Chair. He is also serves on the Strategic Planning, Executive, Young Professionals, and Sponsorship Committee’s. He is an active member of the Board for Chapman University MBA Alumni Association and serves as their Corporate Career and Industry Engagement Director. Mr. Hanger received his BS in Finance and Business Law from California State University, Long Beach, a Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his M.B.A. from Chapman University. He resides in Tustin, CA with his wife and two children. He spends his personal time sailing, camping, snow skiing, and enjoying as many outdoor activities as possible.

Nicole Lucas

Nicole Lucas graduated from the joint MBA/JD program at Chapman University in 2018. Nicole is Corporate Counsel for St. John, the American luxury house with global headquarters in Orange County. Nicole partners with various business units ranging from Human Resources to Marketing to IT and assists with enabling the teams to achieve their goals from the initial planning stages of their projects. Nicole has utilized her business background to implement performance tracking metrics to demonstrate the department’s productivity and value to the company, and is constantly working to improve and streamline the legal department operations.
In addition to Nicole’s involvement in the MBA Alumni Association, Nicole is also an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, including the Young Lawyers Division, and is very involved in the organization’s community outreach and volunteering program.

Tara Bokosky

Tara Bokosky is a member of the Chapman MBA Alumni Board. She graduated with her MBA in 2017, Beta Gamma Sigma, as well as with her Master’s in Special Education. Tara oversees the ambassador committee and is responsible for coordinating Alumni board efforts between the University and Ambassadors.
Tara is a Financial Advisor at Tax & Financial Group where she works with business owners and professionals and guides businesses, families and individuals with the accumulation and preservation of wealth through comprehensive financial strategies. Before entering the financial services industry, Tara worked in the Brea Unified School district and remains involved within the special needs community.
In her free time, Tara likes to travel and spend time with family, friends and her 140-lb German Shepard. She plays basketball every Sunday and is an avid sports fan.

Will Wilhelm

Will Wilhelm became a member of the MBA Alumni Board shortly after completing his MBA in 2019. He also completed his undergraduate degree at Chapman, finishing with a Biology degree in 2014. Will is currently an Assistant Project Manager at RD Olson Construction, based in Irvine. His most recent project with RD Olson was on that of the new student housing building on Chapman’s main campus, “The K”. Will also holds a California Real Estate License, something that he enjoys doing on the side.
Will’s goals while serving on the Alumni Board center on strengthening the connection between the alumni, but also between alumni and current students. He also is charity focused, hoping to introduce numerous networking/fundraising events that will bring alumni and students together for a good cause, benefitting local charities. Some local charities that are important to Will are the Ronald McDonald Foundation, Orangewood and Habitat for Humanity.
In Will’s free time he enjoys working out, playing golf, traveling to new places, volunteering, and spending quality time with family and friends.
