Chapman50 is a dynamic group of individuals, and is designed to connect influential Chapman alumni innovators, influencers, and leaders in a university-wide network like no other. Chapman50 members are leaders who work together to create and expand a culture of community, mentorship and support that supports Chapman University towards its strategic goals and major university initiatives.
Founded in 2013, alumnus Sinan Kanatsiz '97 (M.A. '00) first approached Dr. James L. Doti, President Emeritus, Chapman University, with the concept of forming Chapman50 and the two serve as co-founders of the group.
The group also serves to create a pipeline of high-level alumni leadership, and some C50 members may ultimately be considered for prestigious university roles, such as service on the Board of Trustees and Board of Governors, along with Dean’s Advisory Councils and more. Given the important role these alumni leaders will play at the university, membership in Chapman50 is by invitation only.
