Composed of just fifty members, Chapman50 strengthens and continues the Alumni Legacy by identifying alumni leaders who can serve the University, provide student support through mentorships and scholarships, and promote professional development and networking in all fifty states and around the globe.
In early 2012, alumnus Sinan Kanatsiz ’97 (MBA ’00) saw an opportunity to help the University strengthen and grow its mission and strategic plan, along with providing a pipeline of highly accomplished young leadership for the University for the future. Founder Sinan Kanatsiz met with then-President, James L. Doti, to design the framework for a unique group of alumni and along the way, added an opportunity for the creation of the only Alumni-centric annual scholarship fund for students. The organization Chapman50 was formed officially in August 2012.
