Several majors in the Schmid College of Science and Technology require and recommend foundation and/or prerequisite courses. You can find the required and recommended courses for those majors below.

To find which transferable courses at your college match Chapman’s prerequisites, please use the Transfer Course Approvals website the for the most updated articulation information. You can also find directions for using the Transfer Course Approvals website below.

Some prerequisite courses may double count for general education (Chapman shared inquiries) and major requirements.

Pre-requisite courses can be in progress at the time of applying.

How to Use the Transfer Course Approvals Website

To find out which transferable courses at your college match Chapman’s prerequisites, use the Transfer Course Approvals website. Please use the instructions below if you need help using the site.

+ - Transfer Course Approvals Website Instructions

  • Search and select the college you’re transferring from. Below is a screenshot with “Orange Coast College” as the selected school:

  • Once your institution is selected, you can search your courses. This will allow you to see if your courses are transferable to Chapman and have been articulated by our institution. Below is a screenshot of the MATH A140 and ECON A175 courses from Orange Coast College:

  • If you do not see a course, it does not necessarily mean that it is not transferable. It could mean that it has not yet been articulated by Chapman. If you can not find your course, please contact us at transfers@chapman.edu for assistance.
