Biography in Brief

Lauren graduated from Chapman University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Growing up in Southwest Washington, she jumped at the opportunity to experience living in a new, sunny state.

During her time as a student, Lauren held leadership positions within Greek Life, served as a Peer Advisor, was an Orientation Leader for two summers and worked in the Office of Admission as both a Tour Guide and an Admissions Fellow. She is very excited to continue to work in the Office of Admission and represent Chapman as an Admission Counselor!

Advice from Lauren

Take your time on your application and throughout the entire admissions process. Deciding which college or university to attend may feel overwhelming at the time—do your research, reflect on what is important to you when looking for a school and visit campus if you are able to! You will be grateful later on that you put a lot of thought into your final decision.

Favorite Spot on Campus

My favorite spot on campus is located in the newly opened Keck Center for Science and Engineering. The Keck Center, which opened its doors in the Fall of 2018, is located right next to Wilson Field. On the 3rd floor there is a hallway full of tables and chairs that looks out over campus—it is a great place to study on your own or meet to work on a group project!

Best Admission Memory

After leading a campus tour one day, I ended up talking with a student afterwards about her interest in applying. She wanted to study the major I was studying and was really excited about the possibility of attending Chapman. A few months later I saw her at Preview Day, an event for newly admitted students, and just a little while afterwards I heard she had decided to enroll! It was amazing to be there throughout her Chapman admission journey. I even had a class with her my senior year.
