Advice from Christian

Don’t let the “Sticker Price” of a college be the determining factor if you will apply or not. You should always take things one step at a time, worry about applying and being admitted first—everything else will come after, like a domino effect. Take things one step at a time and you will do great.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is probably the Attallah Piazza. It is so beautiful and welcoming, it reminds me of the Piazzas in Italy. Also, being able to see all the different students that make Chapman University is amazing. I would say the Attallah Piazza is one of our more active areas on campus, its lively atmosphere is definitely contagious.

Best Admission Memory

I would say that my best admission memories stem back to when I was a tour guide for my alma mater, Saint Ben’s/Saint John’s. I would define myself as an extrovert, you’ll know this when you meet me, I enjoy meeting and talking with new people. Being given the opportunity, as a tour guide, to talk with prospective families about my passion for the schools was amazing. Getting students excited about going to college was my favorite part of the job, and to top things off I was getting paid for it.

Best College Memory

I have so many great college memories, but the ONE that stands above the rest would have to be Study Abroad fall of senior year. I was given the opportunity to study abroad in Italy/Greece, in Rome/Athens, two of the most beautiful and historic places on earth. Being able to travel to places like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, the Uffizi museum, acropolis hill, Cape Sounion, and Sparta—these historical places you only learn about in a history book was awesome. I am the biggest advocate for studying abroad and would encourage everyone to do it, even if it’s not for an entire semester.
