    Attend lectures and readings by visiting poets and engage with fellow writers at events both on and off campus.

    Work as a tutor, or simply stop by to receive guidance on any aspect of the writing process or a writing project that would benefit from another perspective and feedback.

    Apply for a job as an assistant for the English Department or gain valuable teaching experience by working in the Writing Center or as an assistant for one of your favorite professors. Graduate students have additional opportunities for assistantships during their second year of study.
