» Wilkinson College External Grant Submission Information

These are the Wilkinson guidelines for submitting an external proposal through the University.

Once you have identified a funder, carefully read the program requirements and guidelines.  After you have determined that you have both the time and resources to meet the request, please complete the Office of Research's Notice of Intent to Apply for External Funding (ITA) form. Please note, Wilkinson's policy requires faculty to include the dean and/chair (if applicable) on any ITA. Please do so by adding their email addresses at the bottom of the form, in the allotted space. If the dean and/or chair are not included in the submission, Wilkinson College has requested that the Office of Research return forms missing the Dean/Chair and Grant Analyst to the submitter for completion.

The Office of Research recommends a minimum of 3-6 weeks to draft your entire proposal; however larger collaborative proposals may take much longer.

Department Routing Instructions

Grants require institutional signoff (proposal routing form) before they are submitted. The Wilkinson College Dean’s Office requests a copy of your final proposal package five business days prior to final submission by the Office of Research. Please submit routing form, final budget and draft narrative, highlighting the inclusion of any college resources or cost sharing (in-kind or cash) to Sarah Gordon. The routing form must be signed by all necessary parties before being routed to the dean for signature.
