The Walls of Portale Multimediale
Chapman University's Department of Languages at Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to present artwork graciously donated by artist Dick Marconi of Santa Ana. Marconi created the entire series of paintings and giclees that adorn the Portale Multimediale of DeMille 120.
About the Artist
Marconi began to paint in the 1960s, but it was not until the 1990s that he began to create abstract forms using mixed media and found objects. His rapid and expressive non-objective paintings obscure express the neo-expression on which his abstract art focuses. Marconi's original style mixes and layers bright and dark hues with his own medium to create a bold symphony of both color and texture.
