Brian Glaser holds a B.A. and Ph.D. in English from UC Berkeley. He teaches courses in composition, American literature, poetry and environmental writing. He has published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Modern Literature, College Literature, Literary Imagination and Journal of Poetry Therapy. Most of his scholarly work focuses on the areas of overlap between the therapeutic and artistic functions of writing. He is working on a book about the emotional dynamics in some of the genres of contemporary environmental writing. He also writes poems.
