Internship/Study Abroad
- The Department encourages students to take advantage of internships & study abroad opportunities. The Washington Semester Program combines coursework & an internship in the nation’s capital, which often opens doors to employment. Internships in state & local government are available. Study abroad allows students to deepen their knowledge of world politics & strengthen their language skills.
Interested in pre-law?
- Chapman subscribes to the ABA statement that there is “no single path” that prepares students for law school. The best preparation is a strong liberal arts major that promotes critical thinking and strong writing skills also provides an understanding of how the Courts, Congress and Executive Branch interact in making laws and promoting justice. Our pre-law advisor is a political scientist with both a PhD and a JD.
