Shanghai is one of the world’s largest cities and one of its most important centers for business and trade. All internships will be conducted in English, so no previous knowledge of Chinese language is required. Shanghai is a great destination for just about any area of interest, particularly medical research, fashion, journalism, public relations, advertising, and hospitality.

Who: Juniors and Seniors in any major with a GPA of 3.0 or above.

What : 10-week internship, 4 days a week.

Madrid Summer Internship

Madrid is Spain's capital and the largest city in the country.  Experience the city's charms: a city with a rich cultural heritage and a booming metropolitan area considered to be Spain's headiest.  Chapman students now have the opportunity to intern in this beautiful city for 8 weeks, and earn 3 units toward your degree.  Internship opportunities are in a variety of industries.  Interviews for this program are conducted solely in Spanish.

Who: Juniors and Seniors in any major with language proficiency equivalent to the skills achieved at the end of the 5th semester of college level Spanish, and a minimum GPA of 3.0.
What: 7 - week professional internship, 4 days a week.
When: May 30 - July 21, 2012
Costs: $5,979 - $6,576*

Program includes: Internship placement and on-ground support, telephone placement interviews, on-site orientation in Madrid, housing in homestay or shared flat, cultural exploration activities program, and third party liability insurance.

London Summer Internship

As a world and European financial and business capital, London attracts businesses from every conceivable sector.  Experience this exciting city by interning for eight weeks with a British organization this summer! You will earn three credits toward your degree, gain a new view of the world and experience the sheer diversity of London life and culture.  The Internship in London program is open to juniors and seniors in all majors.  Internship opportunities are available in communication, marketing, politics, entertainment and the arts. 

Who: Juniors and Seniors in any major with a 3.0 GPA or above.
What: 6 week internship, 4 days a week; 2 week class with cultural excursions and activities.
When: June 3 - July 28, 2012
Costs: $7,550 - $8,305*

Program includes: Internship placement and on-ground support, in-person placement interviews, on-site orientation in London, 2 week course and excursions, housing in student residences, cultural exploration activities program, third party liability insurance, and transportation passes.

Dublin Summer Internship

The rich history and culture of Ireland through the lens of an internship is an extraordinary opportunity to integrate into Irish life. Dublin is the center of Irish industry and has a very international, cosmopolitan workforce. Depending on the industry in which you are interning, you could be in a small home-grown company or a multinational organization. Students can earn 3 units toward their degree and gain insight into the world and their career. Personalized internships are developed to suit both academic and professional goals. All students will attend a week-long orientation to Dublin through a variety of session topics ranging from Dublin culture to internship expectations.

Who: Junior and Senior standing in any major with a 3.0 GPA or above
What: 8 week program, 1 week orientation, 7 week internship (5 days a week)
When: June 11- August 4, 2012
Costs: $4,478 - $4,926 depending on the number of participants

New Zealand Summer Internship

Experience New Zealand, famous for its breathtaking landscapes, dynamic culture, and dramatic history.  Chapman students now have the opportunity to intern in this beautiful country for 10 weeks in the summer.  You will earn 3-6 units toward your degree as well as gain insight into the world and your career!  Internship opportunities are available in business, communication, education information technology and law, and science and social sciences.

Program includes: Internship placement, housing, premium ISIC cards, 3-day orientation, and travel from orientation to internship location.

Cannes Internship Program

Students interested in participating in the Cannes Film Festival Internship Program must have completed French 201 prior to departing for France.

Spring semester students benefit from being in Cannes during its world-famous film festival.  Students typically receive a badge that allows them to attend the marche and select screenings.  This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in careers in communications, public relations, business, media or the arts.

This program is available to Chapman students accepted to the Cannes Study Abroad Program.  This is a 2-week, 60+ hours per week internship during the festival.  All program costs are included in the study abroad fees.
