The Office of Orientation and First Year Programs is designed to support students who are getting ready to attend Chapman University. In addition to assisting students with this transition, the Office provides academic, leadership, and social programing for First Year Students throughout the year. Housing and Residence Life - If a student plans to live on campus, this site is a key resource to get questions answered. Over 90% of First Year students live on campus. Students who live in first year communities have a stronger connection to the university, are more successful in their classes, have higher graduation rates, a higher grade point average, and report a higher level of satisfaction with their university experience.
