Conduct Boards

What is a peer conduct board? The Peer Conduct Boards (Campus Peer Conduct Board, Resident Peer Conduct Board) are student run, peer conduct boards led by a student coordinator and staff advisor. In an unbiased and community focused manner, the board hears conduct cases and decides if alleged violations of the Student Conduct Code have occurred. If a violation of the Code has occurred the board members determine the appropriate sanctions.

Why should I apply to be part a peer conduct board? Being part of a student run conduct board is a unique and challenging experience. Board members gain skills in group communication, leadership, public speaking, and problem solving. In addition, board members become fully knowledgeable about the Student Conduct Code and the conduct process. It is a unique involvement, allowing peers to hold other peers accountable in the Chapman community.

Who can apply? Any student, residential or commuter can apply to be part of the Campus Peer Conduct Board (CPCB). Resident students only can apply to be part of the Residential Peer Conduct Board (RPCB.) The applications processes are simultaneous and have already taken place for the 2007-2008 academic year. During Spring semester 2008 the application will begin for the 2008-2009 academic year.

How do I apply? The application process for 2008-2009 has concluded. Applications may become available in December 2008 depending on membership.
