Living in the Orange Community

Unlike the Chapman University Residence Halls which are located in their own designated area, somewhat isolated from the surrounding neiborhoods, students residing in both the University houses and the Glassell Apartments are living among the neighbors of Chapman University. In addition, Chapman University is located within the Old Towne Historical District of the City of Orange.

All residents residing in the University Houses and Glassell Apartments are representing the university to our neighbors and are therefore expected to be considerate residents and respect such things as quiet hours and maintaining the aesthetic values of the Old Towne District. This includes keeping yards and other areas surrounding residences clear of trash and other miscellaneous rubbish items such as old furniture, bbq's, etc.

Any residents found to be in violation of University or City policy will be subject to the student conduct process which may result in the removal from campus housing. For detailed information regarding city ordinances and policies, please visit the City of Orange official website.
