After Service: Because the causes of and solutions to any community issue or need are often complex, there are many opportunities for continued involvement.  Here are some ideas to continue your engagemetn after service!

California Campus Compact: A coalition of California's leading colleges and universities strengthening higher education's commitment to civic engagement and service-learning.

College Cost Reduction and Access Act: The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, a federal program created through the CCRAA, offeres forgiveness for outstanding Federal Direct loans for those individuals who work full-time in a "public service job" as defined in the Act.

College Students Helping America (Executive Summary) : A report analyzing data collected from 2002 to 2005, published by the Corporation for National and Community Service, that identifies key trends in college student volunteering and their implications for increasing volunteering among college students.

Neighborhood Agencies: Information on community agencies located within walking distance from Chapman University.

International Service Agencies: Information on short and long term international service opportunities.

President's Volunteer Service Award: A program designed to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.  Chapman University students are nominated for this award through the Department of Student & Campus Life.

Segal AmeriCorps Education Award: A post-service benefit received by AmeriCorps members ranging in value from $1,000 to $4,725, which may be used to pay college costs or to repay student loans.  Members may earn up to two awards.

Service Learning Pro: Use this program to identify service opportunities in and around Orange County.  By signing up for service via this program, you can also develop a service record that you could provide to future employers, graduate schools, or scholarship providers.

Service Workshops: Student Civic Engagement staff are happy to facilitate any of these service-related workshops for your group.
