Refund

If a student is receiving more in financial aid than is necessary to pay for his or her tuition, fees, room and board (if applicable), and all of the aid shown arrives, then he or she is entitled to a student refund.  Once you receive the information from your lender that your funds have been disbursed to Chapman, and all or enough of your aid has posted to your student account to create a credit balance, you may request your refund. If the credit balance is created from a Parent PLUS loan, then a written authorization from the parent is required to release the funds to the student.

Orange Campus Students: To request a refund you must go to the Business Office located in the Bhathal Student Services building. Any one of the staff members at an open window can help you with your request. You will sign a refund request form at that time.

Once the refund has been requested, it may be picked up at an open Business Office window after 2:30 pm; one business day after the request was submitted. Please bring a picture ID.

University College Students: To request a refund, you must contact the University College location where you are currently attending.
