Brandman University Students Study Abroad GuidelinesStudents currently enrolled at Brandman University may participate in an affiliated Chapman University Study Abroad Program, with the following conditions:
- Brandman University students can apply for admission to Chapman University, following the usual transfer students guidelines and timeframes. If accepted, their financial aid will apply and be available for use during their semester abroad. (Note: transfer students not from Brandman University must be admitted to Chapman University and attend for at least one semester prior to participating on a Chapman affiliated study abroad program.) OR,
- Brandman University students can register for the study abroad course code at Chapman University without completing the formal application process. In this case, their financial aid will only apply at Brandman University campus at which they are currently admitted and not be eligible for use on study abroad through Chapman University.
- All Brandman University students must meet Chapman's Study Abroad minimum academic standards and class standing requirements for participation in a study abroad program.
- Brandman University students choosing to apply for Chapman University admissions will be noted by the Admission's Office as applying for the purpose of study abroad (and not as a degree seeking student). The Study Abroad Office will notify Mike Drummy, Associate Dean of Enrollment Services, in advance of the names of the Brandman University students applying for admission to Chapman University solely for the purposes of study abroad and who intend to return to Brandman University immediately following their semester or year abroad.
