OURCA DIRECTOR: Professor Anna Leahy, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in Department of English, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Anna Leahy's book Constituents of Matter won the Wick Poetry Prize. Her poetry and nonfiction appear widely in anthologies and journals, including Crab Orchard Review, Cream City Review, The Journal, and The Southern Review. Her essay in The Pinch was a Notable in The Best American Essay 2013. She teaches in the MFA and BFA programs, curates the Tabula Poetica reading series, and edits TAB: The Journal of Poetry & Poetics. With Sciences Librarian Douglas Dechow, she writes in the Lofty Ambitions blog.
OURCA COORDINATOR: Lisa Kendrick received her B.A. in Communications with an Emphasis in Film and Television Production from Chapman University in 1987. She worked briefly for PCTV in Placentia before entering the apparel industry. In 2005, Lisa received a Teaching Credential and taught fourth grade at St. Joseph’s Elementary School in Long Beach. She returned to the apparel industry until 2014, when she accepted her position with OURCA at Chapman University.
OURCA GRADUATE ASSISTANT: Mike Gravagno served seven years as a linguist in the US Army before receiving his B.A. in Creative Writing from Columbia University in 2014. Mike is currently pursuing his MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University, and is the multimedia editor for the interdisciplinary graduate journal, Anastamos.
