The LaunchLabs program matches Entrepreneur Teams with Mentors, which consist of successful entrepreneurs and industry experts. Mentors serve as a role model, coach, and mentor providing guidance and direction. Lead Mentors mission is to accelerate the Entrepreneur's path to success and connect them with the right people to accomplish this.
We encourage our Teams to be proactive in reaching out to their Mentor and frequently update them about their business ventures.
Barry Lieberman is an active entrepreneur currently acting as President of Beatshare a new platform bringing music into the messaging ecosystem. He is a Lead Mentor at CSUF’s Center for Entrepreneurship. Barry likes to take on part-time executive management roles to enable organizations to modernize their customer touching organizations and prosper in today's B2B and B2C markets. Prior to his current projects, he built and exited Advantage Plus Marketing Group, Inc., executing over 1400 demand generation marketing programs for name brand multi-national corporations as well growing mid-cap organizations. Before Advantage Plus he held key business development & marketing roles at Avnet Computer and was a major account manager with Hewlett-Packard.
Bill is the President of Vantages Business Consulting, which counsels, coaches and mentors emerging entrepreneurs currently in revenue. He assists with business development strategies and how to increase their top and bottom line. Bill is a board member on Tech Coast Angels, where he facilitates entrepreneurs with their investor presentation and delivery. Lastly, Bill has also been the President of Supreme Food Service, a sales and marketing company that connects food service manufacturers to their market.
Bob’s professional career spanned 40+ years in retail with National Chain Stores including Alpha Beta, Albertsons, Sav-On Drugs, Longs Drug. He has worked in several leadership and management positions, including the Senior VP of Marketing at the Intermountain Division of American Stores. He teaches the Lean Startup Method and is an expert in Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Procurement and Operations. He is most passionate about teaching and working together with student entrepreneurs to form new ideas and businesses.
Carla Sancho, a Chapman alum, is the founder and chief marketing officer of WeddingCollectibles.com, a designer and retailer of wedding cake toppers and bridal accessories. Wedding Collectibles sells on multiple channels, such as Amazon and Etsy, and also does wholesale and distribution. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, e-commerce, business strategy, product development, manufacturing and social media, and has launched several profitable global e-commerce companies. In 2009 Carla was named the 2009 Entrepreneur of Distinction by the Institute for Women Entrepreneurs. She also speaks at conferences, panels and special events to empower, educate and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs - most recently at the 2016 Internet Retailers Conference & Expo on “The Zen of Financial Intelligence”. David Friedman is a tech-savvy marketing and operations executive with an expertise in bringing to market new technology particularly in wireless, software and the internet of things. He is a member of the TechCoastAngels of Orange County and serves on the software/hardware evaluation committee. He is a co-founder of C-Level Partners, a new consultancy focused on startups and small to mid-cap companies who are experiencing turbulence in their markets and changes in their life cycle. He brings to C-Level Partners (CLP) a passion for the customer and innovation in products, distribution, and marketing. He plays at the intersection of technology and the customer; his real love is innovation and commercializing technology to meet the needs of customers.
David has two careers. His career started with Westinghouse Group W Cable; then to United Artists for a combined 10 years. Now, David is the Executive Producer of TV shows airing on Time Warner Cable in Southern California. And, via Cox, Cablevision and Verizon on the East Coast in Washington D.C. and NYC.. Overall, reaching 6,000,000 homes. In 2016, David also released his first full-length feature film, a Romantic Comedy. On top of his Producer Career, David is also the Principal at EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center) where he focuses on strategic risk management consulting and strategy. David’s specialties are in fields of High Tech, Manufacturing, Food Industry, Construction-related and U.S. Infrastructure regarding the Water industry. David is an active investor and on the TechCoastAngels Executive Committee and holds memberships in two Think Tanks; Mensa PROCESS and TII. He is a certified ILO *infrastructure Liason Officer” on the FBI’s InfraGard and serves as a member of the Orange County Sheriff’s Technology Advisory Council.
David Vednor was the founder and president of Macrolink, a designer and manufacturer of ruggedized computer, communications and secure data storage systems for military and industrial markets, located in Anaheim. As a company founder, Mr. Vednor filled various roles at Macrolink including product design, sales & marketing, and most recently new product direction, including both hardware and software. Macrolink was sold in late 2011 to B/E Aerospace, a public company with 2012 sales of $2.9B. Mr. Vednor received his engineering education at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, and held product development and program positions in aerospace and computer graphics firms prior to starting Macrolink in 1978. David holds a DoD security clearance and resides in Orange County with his wife and has two adult children.

Dr. Deb Ferber
Dr. Ferber teaches at the Brandman University Business School. She likes to be referred to as an entrepreneur or intrepreneur in business and education. Her philosophy of teaching evolved from instructing and building business courses and hands on international business knowledge. Dr. Ferber is also involved in Angel and Venture Funding and is a Business Instructor at her Alumni. She believes that diversity makes organizations more productive and contributes positively to the bottom line. Dr. Ferber is the recipient of The Rosa Parks, Human Rights Award.
Dick has served in all phases of corporate management. Dadamo formed his consulting firm, RJD Associates, Inc. for mentoring presidents. Dadamo presently is a founding Director of three companies and served as a Director of several public companies. He was a member of the Tech Coast Angels for 10 years. Dadamo with his partner, Phil Harding offers their class The Laws of Management Physics and numerous seminar topics to in-house classes at local companies. Dadamo is the author of seven books on Management, directed to hands-on-management.
Evanthia is dedicated to making a difference, empowering others and adding value to any business. Her strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with her interpersonal skills led her to successfully founded three companies: Yoga Inc., LeanIn SoCal and Net Impact, a nonprofit membership organization for students and professionals interested in using business skills in support of various social and environmental causes. She is an active member of Women in Capital Markets - engaging with other like-minded professionals that promote the entry, advancement and development of women in capital markets. Currently, Evanthia is a finance guru at Morgan Stanley, an integral component to the business of several real estate brokers and agents for their banking and lending needs. Mackenzie is a CPA-turned-entrepreneur. She is the founder and managing director of Square Root Financial, a financial services firm that provides CFO, accounting and bookkeeping services to early-stage technology and other high-growth companies. Mackenzie is also a financial advisor to the Bixel Exchange, a partnership between the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Development Center. Previously, Mackenzie was VP of technology and venture banking at Grandpoint Bank where she sourced and structured venture financing deals between $500K - $3M. Previous to that, she was a co-founder of wmbly, inc., a social platform for live and on-demand video content. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Mackenzie audited public and emerging companies at Deloitte & Touche. Mike Brown is the Co-Founder & CEO of ModBargains – a market leader in the aftermarket automotive industry (car customization). He founded the company in 2004 at the age of 19 while he was a full time student at Chapman University in the Entrepreneurship program. Mike completed his degree in 2006 at Chapman. He is a competitive, driven, strategic entrepreneur with experience in sales, e-commerce, search engine optimization, and management. In 2006 Mike was named the Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year.
Mike is the President of Mexamerica Sales, a professional sales & marketing firm that works with US manufacturers to grow their business into Mexico and make their manufacturing operations in the US more efficient. Ora is a 25 year apparel industry consultant with a focus on international mass market. Patrick Boulard has over 20 years of experience in global operations and technology management, in the maritime transportation, specialty retail, wholesale apparel and sports & lifestyle industries. Mr Boulard is the Co-Founder and a Managing Partner of Axellium, LLC., a professional services firm that help businesses excel in areas where they are not internally equipped to perform. Rob is currently the Assistant Vice President Relationship Manager and Portfolio Manager at Citizens Business Bank’s Spectrum Center. He has been in the full-time workforce for 7 years and the part time consulting business for 11 years. His experience is financial sales: equipment, real estate, and business lines of credit. In his spare time, he utilizes his CA Notary Public license and does historic site management consulting.
Scott Pastel is the VP of Marketing and Co-Owner of Marshall Reddick Real Estate, a residential real estate firm that provides Realtors for buying and selling real estate, property management for rental properties, and mortgage and trust deed investments. He started as an intern for the company in 2005 during his Junior year at Chapman and worked his way up from there. Scott is a real estate investor, public speaker, and business owner with a passion for redefining his industry. He is a member of Chapman50 and loves mentoring students and recent grads by providing direction and resources necessary for growth in sales, marketing, and business development in at outside of the real estate industry.
Scott has been in the telecommunications business since 1990, first as CEO of Public Access Communications, Inc. a company he sold in 1998, when he started what is now known as Wavetech Industries. Currently he is the Chairman of the Board of De Long Industries Group, Inc. as well as a director on the board for Disaster Recovery Center the parent company of Telecom Recovery. For the past couple of years, Scott has been active with Entrepreneur’s Organization EO, and has been serving on the Board of Directors for his local chapter in Orange County, working on Education and Membership Chair positions.

Trish Gross is an entrepreneur and co-founder of Hubspan, Inc., a cloud-based enterprise integration platform simplifying data and business process integration. Under her leadership as President and CEO, the company raised venture financing, defined go-to-market strategies, developed leading edge cloud technology and acquired strategic customers and partners culminating in a successful exit in 2012. Prior to Hubspan, Ms. Gross held leadership positions at Concur Technologies, Lawson Software and several other software companies. Ms. Gross has more than 20 years of enterprise technology and start-up experience with special focus on early stage company formation, venture financing, company strategy, and sales and marketing. She holds an MBA from University of Chicago and a B.S. in Engineering from Michigan State University.
