Hello, Chapman!

Dr. Myron Yeager, dean of the School of Arts and Communication, welcomed Broadway legend Carol Channing to campus on Feb. 3, 2006. The 85-year-old Channing’s full-day appearance included rehearsals, a taping of KOCE-TV's Dialogue with Doti, a luncheon, a lecture for the campus community, a press conference, a dinner and a live performance of her critically acclaimed one-woman act, The First 80 Years Are the Hardest. Her visit helped raise funds for the new Carol Channing-Harry Kullijian Scholarship for the Arts (named for the star and her husband).

Carol Channing accepts an honorary doctorate.
