Chapman University respects and values its home, the City of Orange. We strive to treat our friends and neighbors, the citizens of Orange, with respect in everything we do. Over the years we have worked to improve parking both for the members of the campus community and for the benefit of our neighbors. In partnership with the City, we have developed and implemented a comprehensive parking plan.

Years ago it might fairly be said that parking was the single most pressing concern among City officials and our neighbors. Today, the situation has improved markedly due in large measure to our investments in new facilities and the related parking management program through which all members of the campus community, including all students, faculty members and staff members who choose to drive to campus, are required to purchase parking decals and display them on their cars.

The new C-Park parking plan is a thoughtfully designed experiment to improve our parking program. This new program is intended to make even better use of parking facilities on campus. If it is successful, in the long run, we expect that one benefit of the new program will be less traffic around the campus caused by folks looking for a parking space.
