Spring Meeting Update

The mission of the Chapman Parents Council is to serve as liaisons between Chapman parents and the university.  This spring the council focused on identifying and addressing issues of greatest concern to parents.  The opportunity for parents to express concerns and voice their opinions is provided through the Chapman Parent Connection e-newsletter via monthly polling questions.

You responded and we listened.  During the past few months, parents expressed the most concern with the change in registration priorities and with on-campus housing for fall 2008.  The Parents Council centered their spring meeting, held on February 23, 2008, around addressing these two topics.

For those who missed the opportunity to hear this information first hand, arrangements were made to audio record the two sessions for online review.

Dr. Raymond Sfeir, vice chancellor for academic administration, and John Snodgrass, registrar, addressed recent changes in registration priorities and provided tips on understanding the process.

DeAnn Yocum-Gaffney, Associate Dean/director of Housing and Residence Life, addressed the selection process and deadlines for on-campus housing for fall 2008.
