The Panther Newspaper Online
The Panther staff recently started a website www.thepantheronline.com. It is an interactive website that offers more content than our weekly publication. In the coming weeks, we'll be adding polls, comment boxes, blogs, message boards, multimedia tie ins and more.

InsideTrack Program
InsideTrack Success Coaches work one-on-one with a student to build the skills necessary to effectively tackle the challenges a student faces. In 20-minute sessions, either weekly or bi-weekly, coaches help students to improve effectiveness in and out of the classroom, develop time-management strategies, boost self-confidence, and plan goals for the future. The program is of no cost to students during their freshman year. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors who want to continue can do so for a fee. Learn More

In the Life of Your Student
Your student may be experiencing anxiety over mid-terms and/or results. Midterms tend to pile up the week before spring break, and after spring break as well. Plans for spring break may also bring excitement, whereas those students who won't be traveling over spring break may feel left out if their friends are. Seniors may realize that this is the last spring break, the last spring, the last March they will be on campus. For continuing students, anxiety intensifies about roommates and living arrangements for next year. Students will need to start thinking about their plans for summer including summer classes, internships, and summer jobs. From now until the end of the semester, the frenzy grows with each passing week. It still feels like there is plenty of time left in the semester, so there is not a great urgency to get work done.

A Walk through Chapman History
By 1920, Mr. Chapman had raised more than $825,000 for the new college (donating $400,000 himself), which incorporated under the name California Christian College. Mr. Chapman's continued philanthropic efforts with the L.A.-based college through the Great Depression led its Board of Trustees to officially change the institution’s name to Chapman College at the 1934 commencement. Mr. Chapman later wrote: "Every time my eyes fall upon the printed words—Chapman College—or my ears hear the announcement over the radio or I hear the name spoken by anyone, I experience a thrill. At times, this honor seems only a dream."
