Dr. Kristen Doorn (she/her/hers)

Dr. Kristen Doorn joined the Attallah College of Educational Studies in August 2015 and teaches in the Graduate Teacher Education programs and the Undergraduate Integrated Educational Studies program. She also serves as Cal TPA Coordinator for the Attallah College Teacher Education candidates.

She earned her doctorate in Language & Literacy Learning in Multilingual Settings from the School of Education & Human Development at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida.

Prior to teaching at Chapman, Dr. Doorn had the opportunity to work as a K-12 educator in California, New York, and abroad in China. She also worked in the field of higher education in the areas of Enrollment Services, Development, and Faculty Support Services. Her research interests include preservice teacher development, and language and literacy learning for diverse student populations.
