Biography

Assistant professor of Management Science. Dr. Kaan Ataman received his doctorate degree from the Henry B. Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa. Dr. Ataman’s areas of research includes knowledge discovery in databases and machine learning via optimization based algorithms in particular concentrates on the problem of ranking instances using margin maximizing classifiers, such as Support Vector Machines or other optimization (Linear or Quadratic Programming) based classification algorithms.
