Second Annual Chapman Percussion Symposium
November 22, 2008

The second annual Chapman Percussion Symposium is a daylong celebration of all percussion instruments, featuring artists from the experimental cutting edge, to the most respected masters of the tradition.  No matter your background, ability, or age, the Percussion Symposium’s many events will excite and inspire, while at the same time astonishing your senses and challenging your preconceptions on what kind of music percussion instruments make!

This year, alongside our world-class artists, Southern California high school and university students will have an opportunity to perform in the “Something Old, Something New Concert”, where classics of the percussion ensemble repertoire are presented alongside many recently-composed, “soon-to-be-classic” works.

We hope to see you on November 22, or at another exciting Chapman Conservatory of Music Percussion event! Please visit the Percussion Ensemble page for more information on the Chapman Percussion Ensemble and its activities.
