Hedy Lee has been praised for her “combined keyboard elegance with impressive technical dexterity and lyrical expression.” She has been a prizewinner in numerous competitions, including the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, MTAC Piano Competition for both solo and concerto divisions, CAPMT Piano Honors Auditions, as well as the CAPMT Sonata Festival. She has also been awarded music scholarships from the Phi Beta National Association for Creative and Performing Arts and Sigma Alpha Iota. She was a USC Concerto Finalist in 2006, and most recently, the state winner in the MTNA Young Artist Steinway Competition.

Hedy has participated in numerous Master Classes, working with Earl Wild, Menahem Pressler, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, Paulina Dovokska, and Steven Prutsman among others. She has participated in numerous summer festivals, including the Banff International Keyboard Festival, the Prague International Masterclasses for Piano, and the Beijing International Music Festival.

Hedy is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California as a student of Bernadene Blaha, having been awarded a teaching assistantship from the Keyboard Studies Department. Upon graduating her Bachelor’s of Music in 2007 from USC, she received the Outstanding Graduate Award from the Keyboard Studies Department. During her four years as an undergraduate, she attended USC on full scholarship on the behalf of the Leon L. Granoff Foundation.
 
In addition to maintaining her studies and performing, Hedy maintains a busy private teaching studio in Orange County.
