Policy for Recording, Video and Photography

Sound recording, still photography and video recording during concerts in the Conservatory of Music is generally prohibited. This includes all forms of photography and is defined as any use of film, video, tape recording, still photographs or any other means of audio/visual production within the Conservatory of Music.

Filming of non-concert events and the use of the building interior for video or still photography is also prohibited.

Exceptions are granted for University produced and/or sponsored productions (i.e. recruitment presentations, historical presentations) that are sanctioned by the office of the President, Office of the Provost, University Relations, Publications, or Development.

Permission for University produced and/or sponsored productions must be obtained, along with reasonable notice, from the Dean of the College of Performing Arts or the Administrative Director of the Conservatory of Music.

The above policy pertains to both Oliphant Hall and Bertea Hall.
