Tim Ringgold,

BM Music Therapy
Class of 2008

Tim Ringgold is a music therapy major at Chapman University.  Prior to arriving at Chapman, Tim played in two regionally successful bands and released 3 records between them.  He has performed in such diverse places as England, Greece, Italy, Canada, and all over the USA in many different capacities. From the Hollywood Bowl to St. Peter's square, Tim has left his mark wherever he has performed. His latest effort is a full length CD of solo guitar and vocal originals meant to accompany his autobiography that he has just recently completed.

Since arriving at Chapman University, Tim has studied voice and guitar (classical, jazz, and contemporary) for the past 3 years.  He has also developed his clinical skills as a music therapist.  In April 2008, he will be beginning a full time internship in La Jolla, CA at Musicworx, one of the most competitive internship sites in the country for Music Therapy.  He plans to specialize in treating both ends of the life cycle from the Neonatal I.C.U. to Hospice.

In addition to maintaining a 3.83 GPA, he has been President of the Music Therapy Student Union, an officer in the University Choir, a member of the NCAA Div III golf team, member of Disciples On Campus, and on the Chancellor’s List each semester enrolled, as well as recipient of the Chapman Guitar Award.

Tim lives in Orange with his wife and daughter.
