Pro Bono Award Program

The "Commitment to Service" Award program recognizes students who contribute at least 50 pro bono hours—without compensation or other credit—to a public interest organization or governmental entity.

The Law School, partnering with the campus Public Interest Law Foundation, created this award to recognize and encourage students to engage themselves in pro bono legal work at this early stage in their legal careers. Since launching the program in 2006, the number of students participating has increased nearly ten-fold, showing the commitment and passion of Chapman's student body.

This new award program will be administered through the law school's Externship Office. Interested students should submit completed materials from the Resources link on this page to Externship Director, Carolyn Young at cayoung@chapman.edu.
