Access to ANWR: Procedures, Public Policy and International Implications

The US Senate recently voted 51-49 to open the ecologically rich Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling. This refuge has been the center of debate between environmentalists, politicians and energy lobbyists. This panel discussion was an opportunity to discuss the procedural elements of controlling the refuge, the public policy issues related to drilling within the refuge, and potential international implications of this new US domestic oil supply.
