Nexus Journal of Law and Policy
The Nexus Journal of Law and Policy is soliciting articles for its upcoming 20th anniversary symposium on A Sustainable Future: The Advancement and Implementation of Renewable Energy. The Nexus Journal is a well-known academic journal at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law. Nexus aims to provide a forum for the vast array of individuals and groups that influence and shape American life through law and policy by publishing a diverse selection of articles that cover a wide range of topics. For our publication, we solicit articles from scholars, lawyers, industry professionals, legal practitioners, judges, policymakers, political leaders and other experts who provide unique perspectives and distinctive opinions to provide a robust examination of pertinent issues in law and public policy.
Our upcoming symposium concerns the future of renewable energy and the role that law and policy will play in shaping, hindering, or promoting that future. Further, the 2015 symposium will be a celebration of 20 years of the Nexus Journal. To recognize this milestone, we are seeking highly-qualified candidates to submit articles for the 20th anniversary publication.
Topics for Submissions
While there is no rigid framework for article topics, the journal is particularly interested in soliciting and publishing articles on topics concerning:
- Benefits of and barriers to the creation of renewable energy;
- Comparative federal, state and local policies encouraging or hindering the development of renewable energy;
- The advantages and disadvantages of different forms of renewable energy; and
- The political economy underlying the development of renewable energy.
This is not an exhaustive or exclusive list of potential topics; rather, the journal will gladly entertain submissions on topics similar to these topics or tangentially related to the symposium theme. The journal’s goal is to have a well-rounded symposium and published journal that promotes dialogue and discussion concerning the future of sustainable energy.
Selected articles will be published in the special 20th anniversary edition of the Nexus Journal of Law and Policy. If you intend to write an article for publication consideration, please submit a brief proposal of a topic to the journal by September 30 at firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to give our editors sufficient time to review and edit submissions, all articles must be received by December 31, 2015 at the same email address. However, deadline extensions may be granted. Articles should be between 10 and 35 double-spaced pages, not including footnotes and citations. Please feel free to contact us, or our Editor-in-Chief Jessica Roundy at email@example.com, with any comments, questions or concerns.
