Professor Frank J. Doti directs the J.D. Tax Law Emphasis and is the William P. Foley II Chair in Corporate Law and Taxation at Chapman. He is also a CPA and is certified as a Tax Law Specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization. He has been a tax law specialist since 1969 and a full-time law professor since 1981. More
Professor Michael B. Lang directs the LL.M. in Taxation program. He is currently the chair of the Teaching Taxation Committee of the ABA’s Tax Section. He has been a tax law specialist since 1975, a professor of law at the University of Maine, and a visiting professor at many law schools. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel. More
Professor Francine J. Lipman holds a CPA and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University Law School where she was graduate editor of the Tax Law Review. She has been published extensively in taxation law including the Florida Tax Review, Virginia Tax Review, and the Harvard Journal of Legislation. More
Professor Peter M. van Zante earned a J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Chicago where he was comment editor of the University of Chicago Law Review. He has extensive experience in business, tax, and estate planning. His current scholarship focuses on employee benefit plan taxation. More
Associate Professor George L. Willis heads up our tax law clinical education program. He is a Chapman University School of Law graduate and earned the Tax Law Emphasis in the first year it was awarded. He has moderated ABA Tax Section panel discussions and is a member of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals pro bono tax law panel. More
Associate Professor Bobby Dexter is a specialist in tax and business law. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Yale and J.D. from Harvard, where he served on the editorial board of the Harvard Law Review. More
