The Center for Lawyering and Trial Advocacy

The Center for Lawyering and Trial Advocacy explores the social, technological and legal aspects of trial practice.  As the justice system evolves, research is needed on legal trends affecting the jury system, jury selection, alternative dispute resolution, discovery, evidence presentation and jury decision-making.

Along with research on current topics, the Center offers a Distinguished Speakers in Trial Practice course open to students and members of the local legal community.  Recognized practitioners, judges and scholars share their perspective with students and others on various aspects of civil litigation.
