LL.M. in Prosecutorial Science Program Admission Requirements
Admission to the LL.M. program will be limited to those attorneys who possess five or more years’ experience in criminal prosecution and are active prosecutors who are members in good standing in their respective state bar association. Applicants will complete an Application Form (PDF) and a required essay and will be admitted only if the record, viewed as a whole, indicates that he or she is likely to successfully complete the program. Academic records (at the undergraduate, law and graduate levels) and relevant experience will be the primary factors considered. Letters of recommendation may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but only if the referral will provide insights into an applicant’s qualifications beyond that which are apparent from the paper record. The program will consist of 24 credits, to be earned over a two-year period. The cost for the Summer 2007 semester is $1,070 per credit. Up to 20 scholarships will be provided to members of the California District Attorneys Association by the Institute for the Advancement of Criminal Justice. Procedures for scholarship consideration will be provided upon the return of a completed Scholarship Application Form (PDF).
